docking of vessel or flight arrival. The documents necessary for sea freight and
air freight shipments are: 2 sets of Original Bills
of Lading (sea freight) or Airway Bill (airfreight)

charges commence 3 days after flight arrival while late documentation charges
commence 4 days after vessels docking. It's therefore necessary to have the above
stated documents seven days in advance to avoid unnecessary storage charges. All
cargo valued USD 5000.00 and above must be pre-inspected by the respective pre-inspection
companies before being shipped into the country whether by sea or by air. A penalty
of 10% for general cargo and 20% on vehicles is levied for post inspection at
destination. This is allowable only once and a second import brought in without
pre-inspection would require that the consignment be shipped back to the country
